Mark Adams, FRSA

Mark Adams joined NMC as a Non-Executive Director and Board Member of the ADCB-led newly constructed board in the month of March 2022. Later, upon his predecessor Michael Davis wanting to take a well-deserved break, Mark picked up the responsibility of the Chief Executive Officer (Interim) of NMC Healthcare, the UAE's largest private sector healthcare provider.

He joins from UK-based charity “Community Integrated Care”, where he was the CEO for five years. Mark is an experienced CEO with a career in Healthcare, Social Care, Health Insurance, Financial Services and Service Industries. He has led several FTSE-listed PLCs in the last 30 years of his C Suite career.

He currently serves on the boards of the National Care Forum and Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare, KSA as a non-executive director. He has previously served on the boards of Lumina Capital Advisers, Premier Medical Group, the British Quality Foundation, Common Purpose, Complete Case Management, Countess of Chester Hospital and Pruhealth.

A seasoned operator with a total of 40 years of experience in Europe and the GCC, Mark has served in executive-level roles at Anglo Arabian Healthcare, Medsol Diagnostics, Enaya Healthcare, Virgin Healthcare, Netcare, General Healthcare Group & BMI Healthcare, Corporate Services Group, AXA PPP Healthcare, and Denplan.

Working for the communities, Mark introduced Learning Disability Super League, got praised and recognised for his contributions, and received the RFL President’s Award in 2018. The award recognises inspiring work to change lives and communities through Rugby League. Mark also won the Blue-Ribbon CEO Care Awards in 2020, 2021 and 2022. The awards are issued by the Caring Times’ National Care Awards. At National Care Awards, he was identified as the ‘stand-out voice’ in the social care sector.

Mark completed his management studies at the Manchester Business School and is a fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts FRSA and an associate of the Insurance Institute ACII.
