Joyful start: Double celebrations for parents on Eid Al Adha in UAE

Danat Al Emarat Hospital for Women and Children, an M42 company, welcomed three newborns into the world during the first few hours of Eid Al Adha. Out of the newborns, one was a girl and two were boys, marking a significant milestone for the hospital.

The Emirati Al Zaabi family had the honor of being the first to celebrate the arrival of their newborn on the special occasion of Eid Al Adha. Born at 12:12 AM, the baby was in good health and weighed 3.04 kg.

The parents proudly named their baby Abdullah. According to the father, “Baby Abdullah has brought us immense joy and gratitude. We are deeply grateful to have been blessed with this precious gift on the auspicious first day of Eid. We extend our sincere appreciation to the entire team at Danat Al Emarat Hospital for their exceptional care and support extended to my wife and child.”

The second Emirati newborn was a baby girl who was born at 3 AM, weighing 2.87 kg. She became the newest addition to her long-awaiting family.

At 6:21am, the Emirati family of Al Hanaee welcomed their newborn, weighing 3.49 kg. “We have decided to name our baby Hamed” the father said. We consider ourselves very lucky that our son arrived in good health on this memorable day, doubling our joy. We are incredibly grateful for the compassionate care extended to my wife and our child by the team at Danat Al Emarat Hospital, who managed to make two wonderful occasions even more special.”

“On the occasion of Eid Al Adha, we are overjoyed to have welcomed three newborns into the world,” said Omar Al Naqbi, Acting Executive Director of Danat Al Emarat Hospital for Women and Children. “This joyous event further strengthens our commitment as caregivers to providing exceptional care and support to these families and their newest additions. It fills us with great pride to have reached the milestone of 33,616 births since the first baby was delivered at Danat Al Emarat Hospital in 2015, and we eagerly anticipate the opportunity to continue providing unparalleled treatment and services to infants and their families.”

As the clock struck 12 on Wednesday, an Egyptian couple and a Jordanian couple marked Eid Al Adha in a special way while welcoming the newest additions to their families. The families of baby Lydia and baby Bessan are on cloud nine after their tiny bundles of joy were born at 00:00 at Medeor and Burjeel hospitals respectively.

Mohamed Abdel Elsayed and Shaimaa Ibrahim Selima are thrilled at the birth of their healthy baby girl weighing 2.590 kg. Baby Lydia, their second child, was born at Medeor Hospital, Abu Dhabi, on Wednesday.

The excited family gathered around the baby in joy and gratitude. “We thank the Almighty for the birth of our healthy baby girl on this blessed day. Her arrival has added to the sweetness of the occasion. We are excited to become a family of four,” said Elsayed, thanking Dr. Prof. Walid El Sherbiny, Consultant, Obstetrics and Gynecology, and HOD, for being with them throughout the pregnancy journey.

Dr Prof. El Sherbiny said, “We celebrate the birth of baby Lydia on this special day. Babies born on an auspicious day bring added joy to our hearts. We are glad the delivery went smoothly, and the mother and child are doing well. We wish them good health and happiness.”

Doctor Kiran Mehndirata at NMC Specialty Hospital in Abu Dhabi said that she was happy to perform the surgeries on Eid.

Gambian nationals Youssou Faye and Zainab Touray were proud parents to a baby boy who was born on Wednesday at 3.29am at Aster Hospital, Al Mankhool. The baby weighed 3.045kg.
