Dr Shammah Al Memari completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of urgery (MBBS) at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences in Al Ain, UAE, in June 2011.
After obtaining Arab Board Certification in Family Medicine at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City in 2017, she underwent rigorous clinical research training at Harvard, receiving commendation for her outstanding capstone project.
Dr Shammah Al Memari started her clinical career in 2011 as a Medical Intern at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City in Abu Dhabi, UAE and thereafter as a Family Medicine Resident at the same hospital until 2017. She then served as a Family Specialist Resident at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City. In 2023, she worked part-time as a Family Medicine Consultant Physician at Khalifa City A Clinic, AHS in Abu Dhabi, UAE and she also worked as a Family Medicine Consultant and Medical Director at private medical centre in Abu Dhabi.
Dr Shammah Al Memari has also made significant contributions to public health. In 2017, she worked as a Senior Officer at the Department of Health (DOH), Abu Dhabi leading projects on obesity and weight management, comprehensive screening programs, and childhood obesity interventions. and thereafter she worked as the Section Head of Public Health Research at the Department of Health Promotion, Abu Dhabi Public Health Center, where she developed the infrastructure for public health research and managed national and local COVID-19 Research Core Committees. In 2023, she was a Research Expert at the National Center for Health Research, Ministry of Health in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
