Dr Nahla Adel Shafie, Specialist – Ophthalmology completed her medical degree from the Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University, Cairo, Egypt in 2011 and thereafter completed her Master’s Degree (M.Sc.) in Ophthalmology, from the same university in 2013. Dr Nahla completed FRCS from Glasgow in 2020.
Dr Nahla started her medical career as an Ophthalmology Assistant Lecturer from Ophthalmology Research Institute in Cairo in 2007. In 2019, she moved to the UAE, and continued her medical practice as a Ophthalmology Specialist in various hospitals and medical centres in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
She has extensive experience in Glaucoma, Oculoplasty, Paediatric Ophthalmology, and Retina, with a primary focus on Corneal and Refractive Surgery. This included procedures like LASIK, corneal ablation, and keratoconus management.
