Dr. Mohammed Abuhelwa earned his M.B.B.S. from Jordan University of Science and Technology. He completed his Residency in Paediatrics at Jordan Hospital Medical Center, Jordan. Dr Mohammed also completed a Neonatal Bridging Program at Corniche Hospital, Abu Dhabi, enhancing his expertise in NICU services and newborn intensive care in Abu Dhabi. He earned his Neonatal Clinical Fellowship from the Hospital for Sick Children – SickKids, Canada, and is highly experienced in managing cases in a neonatal critical care unit. Known as a premature baby care specialist, he is also trusted for handling infant intensive care in Abu Dhabi and critical care for newborns, especially in high-risk and emergency cases. He is certified by the Arab and Jordanian Board and is a member of the Jordan Medical Association, Jordan Paediatric Society, and the Arab Board of Paediatrics.
Dr Mohammed has more than 13 years of experience in many reputable medical organizations in the UAE, KSA, Jordan, and the well-known The Hospital for Sick Children – SickKids, Toronto, Canada. His experience includes neonatal intensive care, neonatal medical and surgical diseases, neonatal neurodevelopment, congenital cardiac anomalies, neonatal resuscitation, and antenatal and postnatal parental counselling of high-risk deliveries. His extensive training also includes neonatal emergency care in Abu Dhabi, making him a vital part of any advanced neonatal team.
Before Joining NMC, Dr Mohammed was a Consultant Neonatology and the acting head of the department at Danat Alemarat Hospital.
