
Dr Prasad K. Manden has completed his MBBS from Government Medical College, Calicut in 1990. He did his Diploma in TB and Chest Diseases (DTCD) from the prestigious Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune. He was the first rank holder of Pune University for his Diploma examination. He has completed his MD in Respiratory Medicine from the Government Medical College, Calicut. He is specially trained in tuberculosis including MDRTB at the National TB Institute (NTI) in Bangalore.
He worked as a Chest consultant in various private and government health facilities in India and abroad. He was with the Ministry of Health, Saudi Arabia for 5 years before joining the NMC Health Care. A keen academician, he is a regular attendee of international conferences of European Respiratory Society (ERS), American Thoracic Society (ATS) and American College of Chest Physicians (ACCP). He is an active member of ERS, ATS and ACCP. He is a fellow of the ACCP. He is also a life member of Indian Medical association (IMA) and Academy of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. He is in the teaching faculty of Kannur Medical College as an Associate Professor. He has more than 20 years of experience in his specialty. He has several international publications to his credit.
His special interests include asthma, tuberculosis and sleep disordered breathing.
He can speak Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi, Urdu, English and Arabic.
