Consultant Endocrinologist and Internal Medicine Physician with over 15 years of clinical experience and UK specialist training. Expertise in diabetes, obesity medicine, thyroid disease, osteoporosis, pituitary and adrenal disorders, and cardiometabolic risk reduction. Passionate about evidence-based, patient-centred care and preventive medicine.

Dr. Nawal Ibraheem formally trained and certified to teach medical students and junior doctors. This is in addition to participating in leadership and management courses in the health care system. While working and training in the UK, Dr. Nawal Ibraheem has been actively leading and participating in clinical governance and quality improvement meetings in the National Health Service hospitals.

Dr. Nawal Ibraheem has completed her primary medical qualification and gained MB.ChB from Hawler Medical University, 2006 Iraq. After her internship in the United Kingdom, she completed her (MRCP), Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians of London in 2013. Dr Nawal Ibraheem also gained a specialist certificate in Endocrinology and Diabetes from the Royal College of physician and endocrinology, London in 2016. Dr. Nawal Ibraheem has completed her specialist training in both general internal medicine, diabetes and endocrinology and gained the certificate of completion of specialist training (CCT) from general medical Council in the United Kingdom 2018.

Dr. Nawal’s work experience as specialist in Diabetes & Endocrine spans 5 years in various international hospitals in the United Kingdom namely University Hospitals of Nottingham (Queen’s Medical Centre, and City Campus), as well as in Royal Derby Hospital in the United Kingdom.

Dr. Nawal has participated and attended various national and international courses as a requirement of her specialist training including BLS (Basic Life Support), ILS (Intermediate Life Support), ALS (Advanced Life Support), ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support), MODY (Maturity Onset Diabetes of the Young), DAFNE (Dose Adjustment For Normal Eating) this is in addition to participating in regional, national and international diabetes conferences in London, Stockholm and Liverpool and has presented posters and case reports on management of rare and difficult endocrine cases
