Dr. Lizzy is a Senior Gynaecologist and Obstetrician with more than 30 years’ experience in the field. She had worked in Al Ain Hospital as Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology for the last 12 years till the year 2020. She had managed various obstetrics and gynaecology cases. Before coming to the UAE, Dr. Lizzy had worked as the Senior Specialist and Head of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department in Sohar Hospital, Ministry of Health, Sultanate of Oman for 11 years. Sohar Hospital is the regional tertiary care hospital providing multi-disciplinary care to the local residents. Dr. Lizzy was working in a private hospital in India for 9 years before coming to Oman.

Dr. Lizzy Devadas obtained her MBBS from Government TD Medical College, Alleppey, Kerala, India in 1981 and then completed her MD and DGO from Medical College, Trivandrum in 1987. She then passed MRCOG from Royal college of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, London, UK in 1999 and later she was awarded FRCOG from the Royal College in 2012.

She performed common obstetric procedures like normal vaginal delivery, vacuum and forceps delivery, cesarian delivery and various other procedures. She has got good experience in performing various gynaecologic surgeries including hysterectomies. She had been performing various laparoscopic and hysteroscopic procedures also like laparoscopic ovarian cystectomy, oophorectomy, management of ectopic gestation, laparoscopic hysterectomy etc. She is also well versed in diagnostic and operative hysteroscopic procedures. She performed various obstetrics and gynaecologic procedures including laparoscopic procedures.

She passed MRCOG from Royal college of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, London, UK in 1999 and later she was awarded FRCOG from the Royal College in 2012.
