
Dr. Krishnadas Somasekharan Nair carries the following degrees on his sleeve MBBS, D.ORTHO, MS ORTHO, MRCS EDINBURGH, MCH UKTrauma and Orthopaedics, FEBOT UK, FRCS EDINBURGH. He is an experienced orthopaedic surgeon who commenced his postgraduate training in orthopaedics since 2010. He did his postgraduation from Government medical college, Thiruvananthapuram,Kerala which is the oldest and most prestigious medical college in Kerala.
After completing his postgraduation in orthopaedics he went to UK for pursuing an international fellowship in joint replacements and arthroscopy. In the UK he got trained at Wrightington hospital which is considered to be the birthplace of joint replacements. Thereafter he obtained further training at the world renowned Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt hospital, Oswestry. In these three years in the UK he has obtained abundant training in hip and knee joint replacements and shoulder and knee arthroscopic surgery.
He has obtained Mch in Trauma and Orthopaedics from UK. He is member of Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh. He is a fellow of European Board of Orthopaedics and Traumatology. He also holds membership in international orthopaedic associations like SICOT and BIOS ( British Indian Orthopaedic Society ). He is a fellow of ROYAL COLLEGE OF SURGEONS , EDINBURGH (FRCS ).
He has been widely involved in research activities relating to hip and knee arthroplasties. His areas of special interests are hip and knee primary and revision arthroplasty, knee and shoulder arthroscopy, sports injuries and fracture fixation surgery.
Dr. Krishnadas Nair is well versed in Malayalam, Hindi, Marathi and English.
