Dr John completed his MBBS in February 1996 from Calicut Medical College, India. He was a gold medallist in his D.O.R.L, MS & F.C.P.S exams. He holds a Diplomate of National Board after which he pursued his D.O.H.N.S & M.R.C.S from The Royal College of Surgeons, London.
He has published 4 research papers in international journals.
Dr John has more than 13 years of professional experience. He has special expertise in the following procedures:
- Ear Procedures: Modified radical mastoidectomy (including intact canal wall technique), Stapedectomy, Tympanoplasty, Ossiculoplasty, Endolymphatic sac decompression, Intratympanic instillation of drugs through grommet.
- Nasal Procedures: FESS (Fuctional endoscopic sinus surgery), Endoscopic CSF rhinorrhoea closure, Endoscopic meningoencephalocele repair, Dacryocystorhinoplasty, Rhinoplasy (open & closed), ORIF of fracture zygoma, Mandible and floor of orbit, Septoplasty & Youngs operation.
- Throat & Neck Procedures: Radical neck dissection, Total thyroidectomy, tonsillectomy (Laser), Lasser assisted uvulopharyngoplasty, Parotidectomy, Brochoscopy (fibreoptic & rigid), Laryngocele excision, Endoscopic stapling of pharyngeal pouch, Laser excision of submucous fibrosis, Dilation of tracheal & esophageal stenosis, Thyroplasty for voice disorders and Cleft palate repair.
He has a particular interest in endoscopic ear surgeries and endoscopic skull base surgeries.
