Dr Jijo Jose is a Senior Orthopaedic Surgeon with more than 15 years of experience in India and abroad. He completed his MBBS from Govt medical college, Kottayam, Kerala, India and a postgraduate diploma in Orthopedics from Fr Muller Medical College Mangalore, India and later did DNB in orthopaedics from the same institution. He worked in India for a short period as a junior consultant and later as Specialist Orthopedic Surgeon in Saudi Arabia for few years. During his stint abroad he was interested in joint surgeries and so quit the job and joined Ortho-One Orthopaedic Speciality Centre for training in arthroplasty and arthroscopy. He completed his ISAKOS fellowship in arthroscopy and sports medicine under the guidance of Dr David V Rajan, one of the veterans and exclusive arthroscopic surgeon. After completing it, Dr Jijo Jose started practicing in Ernakulam, Kerala, India as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Lakshmi Hospital for 5 years. He then completed advanced shoulder fellowship training under Dr Jean Kany, a Senior Orthopaedics Surgeon specialized in Shoulder Surgery in Toulouse, France. He then joined PK Das Medical College Palakkad, Kerala and worked as a faculty before moving to UAE. In addition to modern medicine, he is a also graduate (BAMS) in the indigenous medicine of India viz Ayurveda. He has national and international journal publications to his credit. His area of interest is knee and shoulder surgeries.
