Dr. Irfana Essa Karjikar is a is a Senior Obstetrics and Gynaecology Specialist with more than 30 years experience. After completing her Masters, she started her practice in Bombay, now known Mumbai, India, in the year 1988. Later she moved to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (Almana General Hospital, Khobar, KSA) as a specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in the year 1989. She worked in KSA till 2013 and thereafter moved to United Arab Emirates and started her practice in emirate of Abu Dhabi, at the well-known Mafraq Hospital. Later she moved to another leading hospital in Abu Dhabi, before joining NMC Royal Medical Centre, Ras Al Khaimah in the year 2020. She has immense experience in managing all obstetric and gynaecological emergencies, which includes antenatal care, high risk pregnancy care, post-natal care, family planning services, infertility management, cancer screening and management, menopausal treatment, adolescent management, ultrasonography etc. She is also specialized in colposcopy.
