Dr. Gilbert worked as a Consultant Surgeon and Deputy HOD at one of the most well-known endocrine and surgical oncology, general, vascular, and thoracic surgery departments in St. Marie Hospital Siegen, Germany. With over 600 thyroid surgeries performed per year, he has vast experience in innovative techniques for thyroid and parathyroid surgery, including thyroidectomy and neck lymph node dissection for cancer with neuromonitoring. His role as a Laparoscopic Surgeon in Abu Dhabi allows him to provide cutting-edge surgical care using minimally invasive techniques.
He also has significant expertise in colorectal diseases and operations, including laparoscopic colon resections (right and left hemi-colectomy, sigmoid, and rectum resection), hemorrhoid and anal prolapse surgeries (ultrasound-guided ligation and repair), reconstructive surgery for fistula and anal fissure, and trans-anal tumor excision. Additionally, he has vast experience in vascular diseases and operations, such as varicose vein surgery.
