Dr Farjat Eweida has almost two decades of medical experience and has gained invaluable knowledge along the course of her career, making her not only a well-respected doctor but also the one who promises of ethical and responsible care to her patients. She completed her Bachelor of Medicine from the Faculty of Medicine at Medical Academy Sofia, Bulgaria, she then pursued her specialization of Paediatrics from Higher Medical School Sofia in 1995 followed by Paediatric Cardiology specialization from Medical University Sofia, Bulgaria in 2001.
Prior to joining NMC Royal Hospital, Khalifa City, she worked at Dar Al Shifa Hospital in Abu Dhabi where she was best known for her diligence in examining and diagnosing young patients, while using the most up-to-date medical information for their management. In the past she worked in Palestine as Head of the Paediatric Cardiology Department at Abd Al Aziz Al- Rantisi Specialized Paediatric Hospital before working at Al Naser Children’s Hospital where she worked in collaboration with her colleagues to deliver rapid and modern medical care for Palestinian children including management of complex cases.
Her work included collaborating with medical institutions as well as local and international organizations such as Hadassah Hospital, Al Makkased Hospital, Palestinian Children Relief Fund (PCRF), Peres Center for Peace & Innovation, Save a Child’s Heart, The E. Wolfson Medical Center, The Chaim Sheba Medical Center, La Chaîne de L’espoir, and others in order to ensure that children with cardiovascular diseases and other serious complications in need of urgent medical care were referred for further management or surgery abroad.
