
Dr. Anil Kumar Malik is a Specialist in Critical Care Medicine with over 5 years of experience in Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
Dr. Anil completed his MBBS from MKCG Medical College, Odisha, India in 2009. He obtained his post-graduation degree MD in Anesthesiology from the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, India in 2013. Later he pursued his super-specialization degree, DM in Critical Care Medicine from AIIMS, Delhi, India in 2019.
During his residency in AIIMS, Delhi, India, he gained experience in managing all kinds of critically ill patients admitted to various ICUs; medical, surgical, neurological, pulmonary, gastrointestinal, pediatrics, trauma, cardiology and obstetrics. He has worked as Consultant Critical Care Medicine at Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and Research Centre, New Delhi, India before moving to Dubai. In Dubai, he has worked as Specialist Critical care Medicine at Saudi German Hospital, Dubai, for a brief period in 2020.
He has immense experience in managing patients with life threatening illnesses, who are admitted to ICU with multiple organ failures requiring advanced life supportive measures. He has expertise in performing various interventional procedures in Intensive care units like central venous cannulation, arterial catheterization, chest tube insertion, tracheostomy tube placement, bronchoscopy, bedside echocardiography. He has extensive knowledge in advanced hemodynamic assessment and monitoring, infection control protocol, mechanical ventilation airway management, sedation and anesthesia, critical care ultrasonography, echocardiography, bronchoscopy, acute pain management and cardiopulmonary resuscitations.
He has attended multiple conferences and workshops to remain updated with all recent advances in the field of intensive care. He has published his thesis work in Indian journal of Critical Care Medicine. He has special interest in ARDS, sepsis, septic shock, mechanical ventilation and critical care ultrasound.
