Dr. Ahmed Attia has over 17 years of experience in the field of General, Laparoscopic, GIT surgery. He completed his M.B.B.CH from the faculty of Medicine, Zagazig University, Egypt in 1999 and his master’s in general surgery in 2005 from the same university. In 2007, Dr. Attia completed his M.D of General Surgery in Zagazig University, Egypt.
Dr. Attia started his career as a general surgery resident in 2002 at Zagazig University Hospitals, Egypt. In 2006, he worked as a General surgery specialist (Ass. Lecturer) in the same university hospital. In 2016, he became a consultant in General surgery at at Zagazig University Hospitals, Egypt. In 2020, he moved to the UAE and continued his practice as a Specialist in General Surgery in a private day care surgery center in Abu Dhabi.
Dr. Attia’s main areas of interest are in Bariatric surgery (sleeve, mini bypass surgery), Laparoscopic cholecystectomy, Laparoscopic common bile duct exploration for calculator obstructive jaundice, Laparoscopic Hernia repair (Groin, Umbilical, Incisional, Hiatus Hernia), Different types of colectomies for cancer colon, Open and Laparoscopic splenectomy, Varicose vein surgery, Surgery for cancer rectum, Surgery of anal canal (anal fissure, piles, fistula), Thyroid surgery (total thyroidectomy, subtotal thyroidectomy, hemithyroidectomy), Lymphoma node biopsy, lymph node dissection), Pilonidal sinus management ( surgical, injection, conservative), Breast surgery (MRM, RM, Conservative breast surgery, axillary dissection, QUART), Abdominoplasty.
