Dr Emma Gardette is a highly skilled Franco-British, Consultant Dermatologist with over 12 years of clinical experience. She began her medical career in Paris, training at some of the most esteemed teaching hospitals, including Saint Louis Hospital, Mondor, and Tenon, which are all recognized for their dermatology expertise. Dr Gardette developed a strong interest in complex inflammatory diseases, skin cancer treatment, genital diseases and venereology during her time in Paris.
In 2017, she moved to London to broaden her experience across all fields of dermatology. She worked as a consultant at major teaching hospitals, including St. Mary’s and the Royal Free Hospital, where she led the world-renowned dermatology service for connective tissue diseases. In this role, she expertly managed a large cohort of patients with complex scleroderma-related diseases, cutaneous lupus and dermatomyositis, providing specialized care and advancing treatment strategies in these challenging areas.
Dr Gardette also has a special interest in women's health. She specializes in treating adult female acne and managing hormonal-related skin problems, such as those associated with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and menopause. She enjoys treating babies and children of all ages, providing expert and compassionate care to her younger patients.
Over the years, Dr Gardette has cultivated a passion for teaching and research, frequently sharing her knowledge and expertise with younger doctors to help them grow in their careers. She believes in a holistic approach to patient care, considering not only the physical but also the psychological and social aspects of her patients' lives. By doing so, she gains a deeper understanding of their needs and is able to provide the finest possible care.
