In 1997 Dr. Yaser Biazid completed his MBBS at the University of Heidelberg (Germany). From 1997 till 2003 Dr. Yaser undertook his residency training in Ophthalmology with Prof. Christian Teping in Saarbrücken (Germany) and later with Dr. Paul Schmitz-Valckenberg in Koblenz (Germany).  



Dr. Yaser qualified for the German Board of Ophthalmology in Koblenz in 2003. He received the degree of PhD from the Ruprecht Karl University of Heidelberg in 2006. From 2006 till 2010 he worked as Consultant Ophthalmologist and Vitreoretinal Surgeon in the team of PD Dr. Klaus Lemmen, at the renowned St. Martinus Eye Hospital in Düsseldorf (Germany). In 2010 Dr. Yaser relocated to the UAE and joined Al Ain Hospital (a large governmental hospital in Al Ain), where he had established the first Vitreoretinal Surgery Service in the city of Al Ain. Since 2016 Dr. Yaser has been working as Head of Eye Department and Consultant Vitreoretinal Surgeon at NMC - Royal Hospital in Abu Dhabi.



Dr. Yaser's areas of expertise are: Small-gauge vitreoretinal surgery (suture-less), buckling surgery, medical retina (including indirect retinal laser treatment and intravitreal injection for premature babies with ROP), cataract surgery (micro-incision phacoemulsification under topical anesthesia with premium intraocular lenses), management of eye trauma including removal of posterior intraocular foreign bodies and suture-less scleral fixation of intra-ocular lenses (Scharioth and Yamane Techniques).



Dr. Yaser can fluently communicate with his patients in Arabic, English and German.
