Dr. Sonam Angmo Garg did her MBBS in 2005 from the prestigious Lady Hardinge Medical College, Delhi, ranked as one of the best medical colleges in India. She completed her MS Ophthalmology in 2010 and subsequent completed oculoplasty and cataract training in 2013 from Guru Nanak Eye Centre (Maulana Azad Medical College) which is one of the largest tertiary eyecare centres in North India.
She obtained Diplomat National Board (Ophthalmology) in 2011 and received fellowship Fellow of All India Collegium of Ophthalmologist (FAICO Oculoplasty) in 2012
She later did her Fellowship training in medical retina and lasers from Dr Shroff Charity eye hospital, India in 2016.
Dr. Garg has over 11 years of working and teaching experience at reputed eye institutes such as Guru Nanak Eye Centre and Centre for Sight group of Eye Hospitals, She is an active member of All India Ophthalmological Society and Delhi Ophthalmological Society and has many indexed scientific publications in peer reviewed journals of ophthalmology and various chapters in ophthalmology textbooks
Dr. Garg specialises in Microincision cataract surgeries, Eyelid and adenexal disorders, Lacrimal or tear duct disorders, Ocular trauma and Retinal lasers and injections.
