Dr. Pushparaja H. Shetty
Dr. Pushparaja Shetty obtained his MBBS from SSMC Tumkur, Bangalore University in 1998. He later obtained his MD (General Medicine) from M S Ramaiah Medical College, Rajiv Gandhi, University of Health Sciences, Bangalore in 2004 following which he worked at the International Hospital of Bahrain. He obtained his DM (Neurology) from the JNMC Belgaum, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in 2008 subsequent to which he joined the MS Ramaiah Medical College as assistant professor of Neurology in 2008 and was promoted as associate professor in 2010.
He has more than 16 years of clinical medicine experience of which 10 years is in neurology. He has vast knowledge and experience in management of various rare and common neurological disorders like stroke, demyelinating disorders, epilepsy, neuromuscular disorders and headache amongst others. He was the primary co-investigator in various international drug trials in multiple sclerosis, epilepsy etc. While at MS Ramaiah, he developed a special interest in movement disorders and was part of the team that developed the movement disorders unit at MS Ramaiah Memorial Hospital, Bangalore. Since 2010, Dr. Pushparaja has carried out more than 15 successful DBS surgery assessments and programming at M S Ramaiah Medical College and Memorial Hospital Bangalore. He later went on to establish the Sri Sai Neurosciences and Rehabilitation Centre in 2010 at Bangalore which is an OPD based neurocenter with diagnostics and neurorehabilitation. He joined NMC in 2012 where he is a consultant neurologist.
Dr. Pushparaja is a member of the Indian Academy of Neurology and Bangalore Neurological Society and has many international publications and presentations under his belt. He is fluent in English, Hindi and Kannada.
