Dr. Mustak Dukandar completed MBBS from St. George’s Hospital Medical School, University of London, UK (2000). He trained initially in internal medicine for 2 years rotating through Renal, Pulmonology, cardiology and Elderly care Medicine.
He obtained MRCP part 1, followed by MCEM. He then embarked upon Emergency Medicine speciality training in the London Deanery program. He has obtained FCEM from Royal College of Emergency Medicine, London UK and CCT from General Medical Council by 2011.
He has been a practising Consultant Emergency Physician since 2011, mainly working in hospitals within the West Midlands. He initially started working at City and Sandwell Hospital Birmingham for 4 years where he was the lead for Sepsis and Trauma as well as Senior Academic Tutor for 4th year medical students.
Then followed by 2 years at New cross Hospital, Wolverhampton. His last UK posting was at Heart of England Hospital, Birmingham. In addition to his clinical work he also had the following roles:
• ATLS Instructor
• RCEM examiner
• Educational Supervisor
• Emergency Speciality Medicine Recruiter
• Birmingham Medical School Student Interviewer
Dr. Mustak Dukandar has had experience of volunteer charity work with an organisation called Doctors World Wide, visiting Ingushetia, Pakistan, Ghana and Kenya.
