Dr. Mbaya Khalid Rajabu completed MD from Istanbul University, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, Istanbul, Turkey. He has completed Master of Medicine in Emergency Medicine (MMED), Fellowship of College of Emergency Medicine of South Africa [(FCEM) (SA)] and Fellowship in Intensive Care Medicine from Apollo Medvarsity, India.
He has also completed several courses like Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, Paediatric Advanced Life Support, Advanced Wound Management Course, Advanced Neonatal Life Support and Disaster Medicine Course.
Dr. Mbaya Khalid Rajabu’s work experience spans 13 years in various international hospital in South Africa and Tanzania namely as a Medical Officer at Mbeya Referral Hospital; Medical Officer at Muhimbili National Hospital; Supernumerary Registrar in the department of Emergency Medicine at Stellenbosch and Capetown University in South Africa and as a Specialist Medicine at Muhimbili National Hospital (MNH), Tanzania.
Dr. Mbaya Khalid Rajabu’s area of expertise includes hans-on clinical care in the Emergency Department, proper management to the patients, resuscitation of patients during Emergencies, Performing Emergency procedures like under water seal drainage, incision and drainage, back slab and POP application.
Dr. Mbyaya has attended several international publications and researches to his name, the latest being “Meeting the challenge: Emergency Medicine”. He is a member of several associations namely Emergency Medicine Association of Tanzania (EMAT), Emergency Medicine Society of South Africa (EMSSA), African Federation of Emergency Medicine (AFEM) and Medical Association of Tanzania (MAT).
Dr. Mbaya speaks English, Turkish, Arabic and Swahili.
