Dr. Bashar completed Bachelors in Medicine & Surgery from Al-Nahrain University. He has received certifications from Arab Board of Internal Medicine, Jordan Board of Endocrinology and Diabetes and UK Specialty Certificate in Endocrinology. He further completed post-graduation in Diploma in South Wales University and MRes (Diabetes & Obesity) from Imperial College London.



Dr. Bashar has over 17 years of experience in the field of Endocrinology in the Middle East & United Kingdom. He has worked in several prestigious hospitals in Jordan, United Arab Emirates and London.

Dr. Bashar’s areas of expertise includes:




  • Diabetes prevention.

  • Diabetes management (all types) and gestational diabetes.

  • Obesity management.

  • PCOS.

  • Endocrine diseases of genetic background like Turner syndrome, Klinefelter syndrome.

  • Thyroid, adrenal, pituitary, parathyroid diseases.

  • Male hypogonadism.

  • Post-menopausal flushes.

  • Short stature and delayed puberty.



Dr. Bashar has also completed several courses including Thyroid ultrasound & FNAC from Dubai. He is also affiliated with several memberships including Diabetes UK, UK Endocrine Society and American association of clinical endocrinologists.



Dr. Bashar has various publications to his name, the latest being – “Clinical and molecular evaluation of a 46 year old lady with 45 XO/46XY Pseudic Y Mosaisim” published in the latest AACE ENDO meeting in USA. He has also attended several conferences including AACE annual conference, UK endocrine society annual conference and EASD annual conference.
