Dr. Amira Ali Taha Ibrahim has over 25 years of experience in the field of Cardiology. She completed her MBBCH from the Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University, Egypt in 1996 and thereafter completed her Master’s Degree in Cardiovascular Medicine from the same university in 2002. In 2008, Dr. Amira completed a seminar for doctoral research at Ain Shams University in Egypt then completed her Doctorate Degree in Cardiovascular Medicine from the same university in 2014.
Dr. Amira started her medical practice in Ain Shams University Hospital in 1997. In 1998, she worked as a Cardiologist at the Police Authority Hospital, Egypt, and simultaneously as a part-time doctor in Arab Contactors Hospital - Al Mokawlon, Egypt, and El-Sheikh Zayed Hospital. In 2004, she moved to Saudi Arabia and continued her practice as a Cardiologist in a private hospital. In 2006, she worked as a Cardiologist at Cleopatra Hospital, Egypt. In 2007, she moved to Kuwait and worked as a Cardiologist at the Ministry of Health. She worked as a Consultant Cardiologist in various private and government hospitals in Egypt. In 2017, she moved to the UAE and continued her practice as a Specialist Cardiologist at major private hospitals in Abu Dhabi.
Dr. Amira’s area of expertise is in taking care of critical patients at CCU including invasive procedures, echocardiography, and doppler study including transthoracic, transesophageal studies and stress echocardiography, cardiac MRI interpretation and post-processing, stress ECG, nuclear cardiac scanning, multi-slice CT coronary angiography, holter ECG, and holter BP monitoring, post-cardiac cath and post cardio-thoracic surgery care. Dr. Amira has a special interest in cardiac imaging, venous and arterial cannulation, temporary cardiac pacing, femoral venous and arterial access, central venous access, pericardiocentesis, and management of cardiac arrests, airway management, and tracheal intubation.
To her credit, Dr. Amira has released several research and paper publications in peered-reviewed journals. She has attended various national and international conferences and workshops. She is a member of the European Society of Cardiology, European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging, and Society of Cardiac Magnetic Resonance, and Egyptian Society of Cardiology.
