Dr. Alai graduated from Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College and Hospital in Madhya Pradesh, India, he completed his MD in Anaesthesiology and Critical Care from JIPMER University Hospital, Pondicherry, India. He was trained in University Hospital Schleswig-Holstein Kiel Germany.

Dr. Alai’s core critical care basics were laid down in Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore, India, while working as PG tutor. He later joined Fellowship in Critical Care Medicine under Diplomate of National Boards (DNB) and completed his super-specialty residency training (DM in critical care medicine) from reputed St. Johns Medical College and Hospital, Bangalore, India. He was selected as an Advanced Trainee in Critical Care Medicine in Melbourne, Australia.

Dr. Alai attained European Diploma in Intensive care (EDIC) from European Society of Intensive care and Indian Diploma in Critical care Medicine (IDCCM) from Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine. He is a qualified MRCP (UK) clinical examiner and holds FRCP (London) from Royal College of Physicians, UK. He is also FCCP (USA) from American College of Chest Physicians.

Dr. Alal Taggu was appointed as Specialist and Head of Critical Care Medicine in one of the prominent hospitals in the UAE.

As a current AHA certified Instructor for ACLS/BLS/ATLS and also instructor for BASIC (from Chinese University of Hong Kong), he is up to date with acute care resuscitation protocols.

Most of his publications are in CHEST and Intensive care medicine journals. As a member of American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), he has deep interest in quality control and safety in healthcare practises. Throughout his career as critical care physician, he worked in university Hospitals in India.
