Dr. Akhter Ansari has over 28 years of experience in the field of Orthopaedic Surgery. He completed his MBBS in 1986 and his master’s degree in 1990 at the R.N.T. Medical College, Udaipur (Rajasthan University), Rajasthan, India. He passed FRCSI (Sec. A) Examination of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2001.
Dr. Akhter started his training in Orthopaedic Surgery in 1987 at R.N.T. Medical College, Udaipur and after completion he worked in various well-known hospitals in his home country. In 1990, he joined Ankit Orthopaedic Hospital, Udaipur, India and then he joined Central Hospital of Hindustan Zinc Limited, Zawar Mines, Udaipur as Medical Officer Orthopaedics. In 1994, he moved to KSA and worked there for 12 years as Special Orthopaedic Surgeon in various well-known hospitals such as Hofuf National Clinic, Hofuf Al Hassa, Mohd. Dossary Hospital, Alkhobar, Al Mana General Hospital, Dammam.
Dr. Akhter most notable experience was to work in Al Mana General Hospital, Dammam, where he continued his academic and professional track in the field of Orthopaedic Surgery and Fracture management. In June 2007, he moved to the UAE and continued his Orthopaedic practise in private medical facility in Abu Dhabi, as well as holding the Medical Director position.
Dr. Akhter’s special interests are Arthroscopic Surgery of Knee joint and Arthroplasty of Hip & Knee joints and Hand Surgery.
