Dr. Ahmed Said Taha obtained his MBBCh from the Faculty of Medicine, Alexandria University, Egypt. He later obtained his Master’s Degree in Paediatrics and Neonatology, Faculty of Medicine, Alexandria University, Egypt. Dr. Ahmed has also earned his MRCPCH from the UK.

Dr. Ahmed’s has had an extensive career which spans over 13 years. He worked in Alexandria University Children’s Hospital from 2002 till 2009. Prior to joining Brightpoint Royal Women’s Hospital, Dr. Ahmed was working at Farwaniya NICU (tertiary care accredited hospital in Kuwait Ministry of Health) from 2009 till 2015.

Dr. Ahmed’s special areas of expertise are:

  • Neonatal ICU

  • Skilled in management of ELBW and ventilated neonatal babies

  • Cranial ultrasound evaluation of intraventricular hemorrhage in preterm neonates

  • Echocardiographic evaluation of congenital heart diseases

  • Thesis in clinical and echocardiographic evaluation of PDA in preterm babies

Dr. Ahmed has many international certifications. He has a NRP Certificate from the American Academy of Paediatrics, APLS Certificate from European Resuscitation Council, Emergency Medicine Certificate from the Egyptian Medical Syndicate, Community Medicine Certificate from Faculty of Medicine, Alexandria University and a Certificate in E.C.G from Egyptian Medical Syndicate.

Dr. Ahmed is a member of the Egypt Syndicate and Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (UK).

Dr. Ahmed is well versed in English, Arabic and French.
