Dr. Ahmed Kaabneh started his medical journey early in the United Kingdom doing his GCSE’s at Bellerby’s College, Brighton in 1995. He successfully joined The University of Edinburgh UK, from which he graduated in 2002 with MBChB in Medicine & Surgery. Specialist training was also in the United Kingdom completing formal training in Interventional Radiology at the Northern Deanery during which he acquired the fellowship exam from the Royal College of Radiologists in 2012 and was issued a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Interventional Radiology in 2014.      

Dr. Ahmed has been working as a Consultant Interventional Radiologist at James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough, UK since 2014. During this he routinely performed many lifesaving vascular and non-vascular interventional radiological procedures being lead consultant in several procedures, such as aortic intervention, Gynae intervention, interventional vascular radiology trauma lead, peripheral angioplasty and stenting, dialysis fistula angioplasty and salvage, hepatobiliary interventions, embolization procedures, diagnostic vascular and non- vascular ultrasonography with contrast and ultrasound & CT guided cytology aspiration and biopsy.

Dr. Ahmed has many publications in the field of intervention also presented at many prestigious meetings. In addition to his clinical performances, he continues to be involved in teaching activities as a Trainor and proctor.  

Dr. Ahmed Kaabneh has 10 years of experience in the field of Interventional Radiology joining NMC Royal Hospital in March 2019.

Dr. Ahmed speaks English and Arabic.
