She also holds a F.R.C.S (Ophthalmology) from The Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Glasgow, U.K
She has over 14 years of experience in the field of Ophthalmology and was awarded the Sri K Vasanth Madhavan Endowment for the best outgoing postgraduate of Diplomate of NBE for the year 2007-2008 from Medical Research Foundation, Chennai
Dr. Vijaya has presented on topics such as analysis of the clinical profile, investigation and outcome in tubercular posterior uveitis, orbital cavernous hemangioma clinical profile and surgical outcome
