Dr Sriram Raghavendran
Dr. Sriram Raghavendran is a Specialist Psychiatrist with almost 11 years clinical, teaching and research experience in Psychiatry and Psychology. He obtained his MBBS from M.G Medical College and Research Institute, Pondicherry, India and went on to pursue MD in Psychiatry from the well-renowned SRM University, Tamil Nadu, India.
Notably, during his MD training period, he has presented an extremely rare case report on Attenuated Psychosis Syndrome in July 2014 at the 29th Annual Conference of Indian Psychiatric Society. He has also published a novel research thesis on Executive Functioning Deficits in Siblings of Schizophrenia Patients.
After completing his MD (Psychiatry) from SRM University in May 2016, he worked as a Consultant Psychiatrist at New Life Hospitals in Chennai, Tamil Nadu until September 2020, before moving to UAE. He has expertise in treating many rare Psychiatric disorders such as Korsakoff Psychosis, Organic Psychosis due to caudate nucleus gliosis, Resistant Somatoform disorders and OCD, Organic Bipolar disorder secondary to Cushing’s syndrome. He has also got rich clinical experience in administering Long-acting injections (LAIs) for treatment of Borderline personality disorder and poor compliance Bipolar affective disorder and other psychoses. He routinely administers counselling in the form of Interpersonal, Cognitive behavioural, Motivational enhancement and couples Psychotherapy.
Dr. Sriram has varied research interests and clinical experience in Psychotic and Mood Disorders, Neuropsychiatry, Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry, Biological Psychiatry, including Endophenotypes in Psychiatry, and Mindfulness-based Cognitive behavioural therapy.
