Dr. Salem obtained his Bachelors in Medicine and Surgery from Ain Shams University, Egypt in 2004. He later obtained his Masters in Neuropsychiatry also from Ain Shams University in 2009. Post his masters, he obtained MD in Neurology in 2014 from Ain Shams University.



Dr. Salem has worked at tertiary care hospitals such as Ain Shams University Hospital and Cleopatra Hospital in Egypt as Consultant Neurologist managing complete spectrum of Neurological functions from Conservative, Diagnostic to Emergency Neurology. Dr. Salem worked with Dr. Bakhsh Hospital in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia as a Senior Specialist before moving to NMC Speciality Hospital, Al Ain as a Specialist Neurologist.



Dr. Salem is experienced in managing Neurological disorders such as Headache and Migraine, Back and Neck pain, Neuropathy, Epilepsy, Neuromuscular diseases and Peripheral nerve disorders. He also has a wide experience in Neurophysiological procedures, EMG (needle EMG, Nerve conduction study and repetitive nerve stimulation) and EEG.



Dr. Salem has attended the International observation program at Epilepsy Centre of Cleveland Clinic’s Neurology Institute. He did Observational Fellowship of Neurophysiology from University Hospital Inselspital Berne, Switzerland. He has attended the European Academy of Neurology Conference in 2018 in Lisbon with Poster display.



Dr. Salem speaks Arabic and English.
