Dr Hayssam has more than 22 years of experience. He completed his medical studies at the faculty of medicine of Casablanca, Morocco, and is a French board certified in General Surgery. After completing General Surgery residency (Digestive and Thoracic) and Vascular Surgery fellowship at the Catholic University of Lille in France, he has worked in well renowned healthcare facilities in UAE and Lebanon. Dr Hayssam is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and former clinical associate professor of surgery at Gulf Medical University in Ajman, UAE.



Dr Hayssam has large experience in open Vascular and Endovascular surgery and Open Thoracic and Thoracoscopic surgery where he has performed large number of elective and emergency Vascular and Thoracic operations during his years of practice.



Areas of expertise includes:




  • Minimally invasive management of varicose veins: Radiofrequency ablation, Venaseal, Sclerotherapy and phlebectomies

  • Management of acute and chronic deep and superficial vein thrombosis.

  • Vascular access for hemodialysis: arterio venous fistula, grafts and catheters

  • Management of diabetic foot secondary to vascular compromise

  • Medical management of peripheral arterial disease

  • Surgical management of peripheral arterial disease

  • Management of aneurysmal and occlusive disease of arteries

  • Screening for peripheral vascular disease

  • Open thoracic procedures for lung and pleural disease

  • Video assisted thoracic (VATS) procedures for lung and pleural disease.

  • Mediastinoscopy
