Specialty: Aesthetic, Reconstructive and Plastic Surgery
I am a plastic and reconstructive surgeon with double board certification in surgery from the American Board of Surgery and in Plastic Surgery from American Board of Plastic Surgery.
After completing my medical school at the University of Wisconsin where I served as class president and was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha honor society, a distinction only granted to the top 15% of medical school graduates. While a surgical resident, I was awarded a research grant from the National Institutes of Health to conduct two years of clinical research at New York City’s Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center – the #1 ranked cancer center in the U.S. While at Johns Hopkins, I was also awarded Resident Teacher of the Year award as Chief Resident.
Post my general surgery training, I pursued my interests and matched UCLA’s highly competitive plastic and reconstructive surgery program. I consider it my privilege to assist patients in either restoring form or helping them achieve a particular look they desire. I strongly believe in establishing a trusting and honest relationship with my patients before any decisions are made. Always strive to fully understand patient’s goals, design and clearly explain a custom-tailored plan, and ultimately deliver beautiful results.
Although fully trained in all areas of plastic surgery, my main areas of interest are non-invasive skin treatments, cosmetic surgery of the breast and body, and reconstructive surgery for breast and skin cancer.
