Dr. Anil Ramachandran completed his MBBS and MS (General Surgery) from Medical College, Trivandrum India and did his urology training from the prestigious Muljibhai Patel Urological Hospital Nadiad, India.


He has worked in the Urology departments at Christian Medical College, Vellore, and the Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences,Kochi prior to completing his 3 year training in Muljibhai Patel Urological Hospital. He has worked as Consultant Urologist in Kerala for 4 years in various facilities namely Malabar Institute of Medical sciences, Calicut,PVS Hospital Calicut and MES Hospital, Perinthalmanna. Prior to joining NMC, Dr. Anil has worked for 4 years as a Specialist Urologist in Dubai.


Dr. Anil has attended many workshops on his key interests like PCNL/URS, Flexible ureteroscopy, Female Urology & Incontinence, Advanced Uro-laparoscopic procedures, RIRS, Cancer prostate and Andrology.


He has 2 publications to his credit “A novel training model for laparoscopic pyeloplasty using chicken crop and “Urolithiasis within the horseshoe kidney – A single centre experience”. In addition to this Dr. Anil has over 7 papers, posters and video to his credit which was presented at various chapters of Urological society of India.


He keeps himself abreast with the latest academic and technological developments by attending conferences both national and international.


He speaks English, Malayalam, Tamil and Hindi.
