Lord Clanwilliam is an international businessman and high-level government and financial communications specialist possessing over 30 years of business and political experience across a broad range of sectors, including mining, drilling, oilfield services and operational management and consultancy in the Eurasian and Middle Eastern territories.
In the last decade, Lord Clanwilliam has been a director of Eurasia Drilling Company, the largest drilling and work-over company operating in Eurasia, Polyus Gold OJSC, the largest Russian gold mining company, and Sistema, the largest conglomerate holding company in Russia. All were and listed on the Premium Segment of the London Stock Exchange.
Lord Clanwilliam was the Founding Partner and Chairman of a political, strategic and financial communications company based in London from 1993 to 2015.
He is currently Chairman of 17 Arm, a global asset recovery company, and Chairman designate of Angus Energy, an AIM listed entity.
Lord Clanwilliam graduated from Eton College in 1978 and from The Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst in 1979, after which he served for four years with the 1st Battalion Coldstream Guards.
